Qatar Aviation Services is the first ground handler globally to go through the IATA’s Environmental Assessment Programme certification for Ground and Cargo Handling Organizations.
The certification covers the entire environmental management system, including our corporate offices, ground and cargo handling and equipment management, and maintenance of our ground and cargo equipment.

QAS environmental policy, management systems and operating procedures have been instrumental in helping Hamad International Airport gain its world-class standing as an environmental leader among airports globally. This is indicative of the commitment that QAS demonstrates in working with its airport and Airline partner clients to help them raise their operating standards and achieve their environmental compliance goals.
As a result, Hamad International Airport (HIA) has achieved the Mapping Level of the Airports Council International (ACI) Airport Carbon Accreditation program. It is an acknowledgment of HIA’s and QAS’s commitment to tackling climate change and reducing the airport’s carbon emissions from its first day of opening in 2014.
At QAS, will continuously strive to improve our environmental performance through regular review within the governance framework. We will ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and openly communicate and encourage environmental protection among suppliers and other stakeholders.
This is significantly due in part to QAS’s understanding of its environmental management responsibilities and implementing practices that achieve greatness for its clients and help build a sustainable environment.
