Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) is a prestigious, award-winning ground handling organization headquartered at Hamad International Airport (HIA), the central hub for Qatar Airways. Since its inception in 2000, QAS has built a strong reputation as a top-tier provider of world-class ground services for international airlines, Heads of State and VVIPs, private fleets, executive charter flights, and cargo operators.

With a team of over 8,000 multicultural employees, QAS is committed to meeting the complete passenger and cargo needs of the airport, airlines, and their clients. This highly trained and diverse staff is integral to QAS’s exceptional success and customer satisfaction.

QAS holds certifications in ISAGO, ISO 9001, RA3 (Regulated Agent), and is a member of the IATA Ground Handling Partnership. The organization actively engages in various IATA technical groups, including the IATA Ground Operations Manual, Load Control & Messaging, Ground Service Equipment & Environment, and Airside Safety Group. QAS management’s involvement in these groups has led to numerous proposals that enhance safety standards in the aviation industry. QAS operates a fully-integrated Operations Control Centre that ensures the efficient execution of core activities, such as:

  • Managing all airside ground operations and aircraft movements

  • Coordinating and overseeing passenger services from check-in to boarding

  • Providing a seamless, state-of-the-art baggage handling system

  • Ensuring smooth cargo terminal operations, including Centralized Load Control for the Qatar Airways network and Local Load Control for all airlines, along with document support

  • Maintaining the operational readiness of every airside vehicle and piece of equipment
