Operation Transition from DIA to HIA

A Total of 7000 Staff & 3800 GSE were shifted from DIA to HIA within a 40 hour window with no major Operational impact.
60% of staff & GSE were shifted within 10 hours on the day of airport opening 25% of staff & GSE were shifted on the previous day & 15% was shifted on the next day completing the entire transition

IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO)

QAS was presented the certification of registration under IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations program (ISAGO)

2022

FIFA 2022 World Cup

QAS Successfully managed one of the largest ground handling operations during FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar as the sole provider at both Hamad International Airport (HIA) and Doha International Airport (DIA), handling 25,000+ flight movements (ARR/DEP) 99.40% On Time Performance (OTP) and zero major incidents

2023

Certificate of registration for IATA Environmental (IEnvA) Assessment Organization

In May 2023, QAS received the IATA Environmental Assessment Program (IEnvA) Certificate, becoming the first ground handler to join the programs newly expanded framework. This achievement not only reduced the global environmental impact of its operations but also significantly contributed to HIAs recognition as a World Class environmental Airport leader. Additionally, QAS was registered as an IATA IEnvA under the standards manual IESM C&GHSP Ed. 1

2024

Certificate of recognition for IATA Enhanced GSE

QAS was presented the certificate of recognition for IATA Enhanced GSE for successfully implementing the AHM 900 requirements and contributing to reduction of ground damages at Hamad International Airport
