Qatar Aviation Services (QAS) in collaboration with Qatar Airways, will host the 31st IATA Ground Handling Conference (IGHC) in Doha, the capital of the State of Qatar, from 22nd to 25th Apr, 2018.
The announcement was made by IATA during the 30th IGHC held at Bangkok, Thailand, in which QAS took part.
IGHC is the world’s leading annual ground handling conference and is recognised as the industry’s longest continuously running ground operations conference. The conference brings together the industry’s main decision makers to exchange ideas, discuss and decide on critical industry issues, and showcase the latest innovative products and services.
QAS has been a member of the IATA Ground Handling Partnership since 2016, and is an active participant in all of its technical workgroups. QAS was recognized at the 30th IGHC for its efforts in successfully implementing the IATA Ground Operations Manual (IGOM) into its Operations. QAS is also certified for the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) which aims at improving ground operational safety.
